Rise of the Tomb Raider sarà l’Uncharted di Microsoft?



Noi l’avevamo detto: Microsoft ha bisogno del suo Uncharted e, per averlo, ha acquistato Rise of the Tomb Raider. Oggi arriva una prima conferma alle nostre speculazioni; Phil Spencer, infatti, ha dichiarato a Eurogamer che l’obiettivo è esattamente quello, ovvero dare agli utenti Xbox One una solida alternativa alle avventure di Nathan Drake

"Assolutamente. Sono un grande fan della serie Uncharted e spero che in futuro riusciremo ad avere un adventure game di quello stampo. L’esclusività di Rise of the Tomb Raider è un’ottima opportunità per riuscire a dare ai giocatori un prodotto dal feeling simile."

Il gioco arriverà dunque anche su PC e PlayStation 4?



Dopo il clamore sollevato dall'annuncio dell'esclusività di Rise of the Tomb Raider per Xbox One e Xbox 360, Crystal Dynamics ha cercato di fare chiarezza sulla faccenda pubblicando delle nuove FAQ sul gioco. Abbiamo deciso di tradurle punto per punto.

Cosa implica l'esclusiva Xbox?
Che Rise of the Tomb Raider arriverà nell'autunno 2015 esclusivamente su Xbox One e Xbox 360.

L'esclusiva Xbox avrà una durata? Sarà a tempo? Quanto durerà? Possiamo aspettarci una versione PlayStation 4 e PC del gioco in futuro?
Sì, il nostro accordo con Microsoft ha una durata precisa. Non possiamo rivelare i dettagli, però: al momento siamo concentrati nel realizzare un gran gioco su Xbox One e Xbox 360.

Crystal Dynamics era a conoscenza dell'accordo?
Sì, Crystal Dynamics è entusiasta di poter collaborare con Microsoft per realizzare il miglior gioco possibile. Come menzionato da Darrell, abbiamo una lunga storia di collaborazione con Microsoft e loro hanno supportato in maniera forte il nostro franchise. Ci aiuteranno a far crescere e a rendere il franchise di Tomb Raider migliore di quanto non sia mai stato.

Quando è stata presa questa decisione, si è pensato anche ai fan? Crystal Dynamics e Square Enix sono consapevoli della relazione fra la serie e le piattaforme PlayStation e PC?
Naturalmente. Non abbiamo preso questa decisione a cuor leggero. Il nostro obiettivo è quello di realizzare il miglior gioco possibile, e il nostro rapporto con Microsoft ci aiuterà a concretizzare la visione che abbiamo di Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Perché Microsoft, Square Enix o Crystal Dynamics non hanno specificato subito che si trattava di un'esclusiva temporale? Perché è stato usato un linguaggio poco chiaro?
Non volevamo assolutamente creare confusione quando è stato fatto l'annuncio. La conferenza Microsoft alla GamesCom era per noi il luogo migliore per una prima presentazione, ma non necessariamente per scendere nei dettagli.

Yes, our deal with Microsoft has a duration. We aren’t discussing details of the deal, and are focused on delivering a great game on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

• Did Crystal Dynamics know about this deal?

Yes, Crystal Dynamics is excited to be partnering with Microsoft to make the best game possible. As Darrell mentioned in his message, we have a long history with Microsoft and they have been a very strong supporter of the franchise. They will help us grow and nurture the Tomb Raider franchise more than ever before.

• Were the fans considered when making this decision? Are Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix aware of the franchise history with PlayStation and on PC?

Of course. We did not make this decision lightly. Our goal is to build the best game that we possibly can, and our relationship with Microsoft will help us realize our vision for the game.

• Why didn’t Microsoft, Square Enix or Crystal Dynamics say upfront it was a timed exclusive? Why all the indirect language?

We certainly didn’t intend to cause any confusion with the announcement. The Microsoft Gamescom stage was a great place to make the initial announcement, but not necessarily to go into details.

L'annuncio dell'esclusività di Rise of the Tomb Raider su Xbox One, avvenuto all'apertura della Gamescom, è stato la croce e la delizia della fiera per gli utenti Microsoft: dapprima accolta con entusiasmo, col passare delle ore osa notizia si è rivelata essere una sorta di misunderstanding, dal momento che, presto o tardi, appare ormai chiaro che la nuova avventura della bella e abile Lara arriverà anche sulle altre piattaforme.

In tal proposito, sembra che il retailer britannico GAME abbia deciso di non perdere tempo e, in barba all'esclusività temporanea che comunque ci sarà, ha inserito nel suo catalogo Rise of the Tomb Raider per PlayStation 4, dando il via alle prenotazioni.

News: Microsoft pubblicherà Rise of the Tomb Raider



È ufficiale

Ritenere Rise of the Tomb Raider sempre più vicino a Microsoft sembrava più di una congettura logica dopo l'annuncio dell'esclusiva temporale, ma adesso Microsoft ha dichiarato ufficialmente che si occuperà della pubblicazione del titolo, non quindi Square Enix.

La dichiarazione arriva su Twitter da Aaron Greenberg, rendendo a questo punto sempre più remota un'edizione PlayStation 4, mentre è ragionevole prendere in considerazione un'uscita futura su PC.

Nuovi rumor stanno circolando in queste ore relativamente a Rise of the Tomb Raider, a quanto pare l'uscita sarebbe prevista per Dicembre 2015 e l'esclusività Microsoft durare all'incirca 4 o 6 mesi, inoltre potrebbe essere presentato durante il convegno Windows 10. Rise Of The Tomb Raider Release Date Set For December 15, 2015 As Revealed By Microsoft? Online Store Accidentally Leaks The Launch Date Of The Xbox Exclusive TR Game!

The Rise of the Tomb Raider release date has been set to December 15, 2015 if the reports and rumors are to be believed.
Cyberland has reported that eagle-eyed users over at 4Chan have discovered that the entry for the Rise of the Tomb Raider on the Microsoft store on the Xbox One had an entry that said "To be released this December 15, 2015".

Previously, the entry for the Rise of the Tomb Raider says that the game is set to be released this Holiday 2015 but the entry was changed to December 15, 2015.
It seems the entry has been changed back into "Holiday 2015" upon recent checking though.
Was this an error on Microsoft's part? Or did the info leak early and they had it removed so that they can announce the Rise of the Tomb Raider release date in much more "exciting" manner, such as an announcement along with a gameplay teaser trailer.

Microsoft has also revealed what to expect in the Rise of the Tomb Raider:
"In her first adventure, Lara Croft was forged into a true survivor, but she glimpsed a deeper, secret world. In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider. Featuring epic, high-octane action moments, Rise of the Tomb Raider will take gamers to multiple locations around the world filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth. In addition, after hearing the cry from fans loud and clear, the game will put the tombs back into Tomb Raider, all in the franchise's gritty Survival-Action style."
