Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Launching on PlayStation 4 October 11
As part of ongoing #TombRaider20 celebrations hosted by Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration launches on PlayStation 4 October 11. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will include the award-winning Rise of the Tomb Raider, a new story chapter called “Blood Ties,” co-op play for “Endurance Mode”, all previously released DLC, and more. The Artbook Edition will also feature a 28 page book filled with official concept art and community contributions.
“Blood Ties” is new premium DLC, and will allow players to explore Croft Manor in the main story mode, then defend it against a zombie invasion in “Lara’s Nightmare”. When Lara’s uncle contests ownership of the Manor, Lara must explore the estate to find proof that she is the rightful heir, or lose her birthright and father’s secrets for good. Players can then test their zombie-killing skills in the replayable “Lara’s Nightmare” mode: a haunted Croft Manor where players have new challenges and must rid the Manor of an evil presence.
In addition, for the first time in a Tomb Raider game, a new online co-op expansion to “Endurance Mode” lets fans raid tombs in a brutal wilderness together. Two players must team up to survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies by night. Fire takes fuel, food restores health, and every resource must be hunted, collected, or crafted. Battle to the top of the leaderboards, as others try to beat your longest survival run.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration arriverà l’11 Ottobre su PS4!
Square Enix ha confermato che Rise of the Tomb Raider giungerà su PlayStation 4 il prossimo 11 ottobre. La versione PS4 sarà chiamata Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration e conterrà il gioco, un capitolo completamente nuovo intitolato “Blood Ties”, una nuova modalità Stoicismo Co-op, il supporto PlayStation VR per “Blood Ties”, tutti i DLC precedenti, ulteriori outfit, armi e Expedition Cards. Questa Limited Edition del gioco conterrà anche un art book in edizione limitata.
Tranne il supporto VR, tutti i nuovi contenuti di Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration saranno disponibili anche per i giocatori Xbox One e PC. Gli attuali possessori del Season Pass su Xbox One e PC riceveranno automaticamente il contenuto senza costi aggiuntivi e, nel tempo, i Season Pass esistenti saranno aggiornati per includere il nuovo contenuto. “Blood Ties,” un nuovo DLC premium, porta i giocatori ad esplorare il Maniero Croft in un nuovo story mode; a difenderlo da un’invasione zombie in “Lara’s Nightmare”. Quando lo zio di Lara contesta la proprietà del Maniero, Lara deve esplorare la proprietà per trovare la prova che lei é la legittima erede, oppure perderà il suo diritto di nascita e i segreti del padre per sempre. I giocatori devono quindi mettere alla prova le loro abilità di assassini di zombie nella modalità rigiocabile “Lara’s Nightmare”: un Maniero Croft infestato nel quale i giocatori vengono messi di fronte a nuove sfide per liberarlo da una presenza demoniaca.
Inoltre, il supporto per PlayStation VR consente ai giocatori di sbloccare i misteri del Maniero Croft in prima persona. “Quest’anno celebriamo 20 anni dell’iconica Lara Croft”, ha commentato Ron Rosenberg, co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. “Questo ci ha dato la perfetta occasione per fornire una nuova esperienza Tomb Raider. Con l’aggiunta del supporto PlayStation VR, potete giocare nel mondo di Lara vedendolo attraverso i suoi stessi occhi per la prima volta nella storia del franchise”. Per la prima volta in un gioco Tomb Raider, una nuova espansione online co-op alla modalità Stoicismo porta i fan a vivere insieme l’esperienza di in un brutale deserto. Due giocatori dovranno allearsi per sopravvivere alle dure condizioni di giorno e alle letali minacce dei nemici di notte. Il fuoco necessita carburante, il cibo ristora la salute ed ogni risorsa deve essere cacciata, raccolta o creata artigianalmente. Combatti per essere in vetta alle classifiche perché gli altri cercheranno di batterti nella più lunga corsa per la sopravvivenza.
Lavorando con il partner di lunga data Nixxes Software, il team di sviluppo ha anche creato molte aggiunte che celebrano le uscite di Tomb Raider nel corso degli anni, tra cui una versione rivisitata dell’outfit per il freddo e la pistola Hailstorm che Lara ha indossato in “Tomb Raider III”. Uno speciale classic card pack di Lara permetterà ai fan di rigiocare il gioco con cinque classici modelli di Lara presi dai giochi precedenti nel corso degli anni, incluso il modello originale di Lara dal quale tutto é iniziato nel 1996. Su richiesta speciale dei fan più accaniti, il gioco é diventato ancora più grintoso con la nuova, brutale ambientazione “Extreme Survivor”. Questo nuovo livello di difficoltà prende la difficoltà Survivor e la porta all’estremo partendo dall’eliminazione di tutti i checkpoints dal gioco. L’unico modo per fare salvataggi nel gioco è di procurarsi abbastanza risorse per l’accampamento. Tutti i DLC resi disponibili in precedenza saranno inclusi, compresa la storia aggiuntiva di tre ore Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, Cold Darkness Awakened nel quale i giocatori devono combattere contro ondate di predatori infetti, 12 DLC outfits, 7 DLC weapons, oltre 35 Expedition Card e molto altro ancora. Ecco il titolo Square Enix in 4K sulla nuova console Sony.
Square Enix e Crystal Dynamics hanno mostrato, in occasione del PlayStation Meeting 2016 durante il quale è stata presentata al mondo la nuova PS4 Pro, un nuovo video nel quali è possibile ammirare Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration girare sulla neonata console Sony.
Il gioco avrà 3 differenti modalità su PlayStation 4 Pro. Una modalità in 4K, un "High Frame Rate Mode", comodo se non avete una tv in 4K, che farà girare il gioco a 1080p con framerate non bloccato, e una "Enhanced Visuals Mode" che bloccherà invece il framerate a 30 frame per secondo.

Sony officially unveiled their new gaming console today – the PlayStation 4 Pro – available November 10, 2016. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration was featured at their New York event, showcased as one of the first 4K games on console. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration launches on October 11, 2016, and will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 Pro.
With the PlayStation 4 Pro’s additional horsepower, we’ve been able to add graphical enhancements such as improved reflections, more dynamic foliage, and detailed tessellation. These features heighten the experience and further immerse players in Lara’s first Tomb Raiding expedition.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration on the PlayStation 4 Pro will include three modes: 4K Resolution, High Framerate, and Enriched Visuals, allowing you to customize your experience. 4K Resolution displays the game in 4K Resolution, on supported 4K TVs, in 30 fps. High Framerate pushes the framerate above 30 fps at 1080p with a target of 60 fps for an even smoother gameplay experience. Enriched Visuals enhances graphical features of the game for a lusher and more realistic experience, in 1080p at 30 fps.

Square Enix e Crystal Dynamics hanno pubblicato un nuovo video diario di sviluppo della serie "Una donna contro un ambiente ostile" di Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration, il titolo per PlayStation 4 in arrivo il prossimo mese.
"Una donna contro un ambiente ostile" esplora l'interno del maniero Croft, incluso nell'inedita storia "Legami di sangue" in arrivo l'11 ottobre con l'uscita di Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration.
Dopo che la proprietà del maniero viene rivendicata dallo zio di Lara, la ragazza deve esplorare la villa per dimostrare che è lei l'erede legittima. Mai mettere simili oggetti "virtuali" tra gli occhi, fa male, a lungo andare ti rincoglionisce. Sicuramente verso i primi 2017 compro la PS4 PRO, ma il visore Playstation VR, NO. Con questo modus operandi iniziamo a diventare dei cyborg e iniziare un assurdo transumanismo. Non è questione che sono antico, non credo sia così innocuo a lungo andare il PVR. Al limite mi piacerebbe il simulatore virtuale di Star Trek, ma chissà quando ci sarà una simile tecnologia, 50 anni, 100? Boh.....
